We highly recommend visiting Snowdonia whilst staying with us at Garreg Goch. This National Park has plenty of things to do and see for absolutely everyone. With thousands of walking routes to choose from, spend a day (or two) immersing yourself in the iconic Welsh landscape.

If you're searching for something exciting to do on your next holiday in Wales, Llechwedd Zip World is the place to be! They've got plenty of awesome activities you can book, such as ziplining experiences and exploring fascinating deep caves!

Historical Attraction - 45 Miles

Conwy Castle is a must visit during your stay at Garreg Goch. The striking medieval fortress is over 700 years old and one of the best preserved in Europe. Spend a day walking a circuit of the battlements. Admire the harbour and winding streets of Conwy below.

Porthmadog is the closest town to Garreg Gogh Holiday Park. The busy harbour town has a good range of shops and attractions, including nearby Portmeirion. It’s a lovely place to spend the day and excellent starting point for many walks and cycle routes. Make sure you check out The Cob!

Blanenau Ffestiniog is the former ‘slate capital of the world’. The unique landscape has a strange, compelling beauty. Marvel at Screes of broken slate tumble down steep-sided mountains. Enjoy a range of adrenaline fuelled outdoor adventure activities and downhill mountain biking trails.

Beach - 1 Mile

Black Rock Sands is just a short walk from our coastal holiday park - perfect for family days at the beach! There’s a wide expanse of fine sand flanked my sand dunes. The area is popular for picnics, lazy beach days and watersports. Unusually, you can even drive on the beach!

Victorian charm comes to the seaside – with a medieval castle thrown in for good measure. Criccieth’s two beaches are separated by a headland fortress with a fascinating, eventful history. The little resort boasts quality hotels, many with dreamy views across Cardigan Bay.

Llanystumdwy is a small village near Criccieth and the boyhood home of David Lloyd George. The village has a museum dedicated to one of the greatest statesmen of the 20th century and the Newydd National Writers’ Centre for Wales. Family attractions closeby.
